How Buying USDC Works on Lumos

Every trade is held by an on-chain escrow contract on Polygon. The seller cannot run off with your KRW, and you cannot lose USDC the seller already deposited.

01

Browse Open Listings

Each card on this marketplace is a real seller offering a fixed USDC amount at a fixed KRW rate. Filter by amount, price, or sort by newest to find a match.

02

Connect MetaMask & Join

Click a listing, connect your Polygon wallet, and join the trade. The listing closes for everyone else the moment you join — it becomes a private 1-on-1 escrow.

03

Wire KRW & Get USDC

Once the seller deposits USDC into escrow, the bank info appears. Send the KRW, confirm on-chain, and the seller releases USDC straight to your wallet.

Why Lumos Marketplace

Funds Held by a Smart Contract

USDC is locked in a verified Polygon escrow contract — not by a custodian, not by Lumos. Once a buyer confirms KRW payment on-chain, the seller has 24 hours to release; otherwise the buyer can claim the USDC themselves.

No Hidden Fees

A flat 0.5% protocol fee is paid by the seller. Buyers always receive the exact USDC amount listed — no slippage, no spread, no extra deductions on your side.

Native USDC on Polygon

All trades use native USDC on the Polygon network — fast settlement, low gas, and the same USDC you can move to any other chain or exchange via standard bridges.

Built for Korean Buyers

Pay sellers directly via Korean bank transfer. The price is quoted in KRW per USDC, so you always know exactly how much you're paying and how much USDC you're receiving.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if the seller doesn't deposit USDC?

Each phase of a trade has a 20-minute timeout. If the seller fails to deposit USDC within that window after you join, the trade expires automatically and you owe nothing — no KRW has been sent, and no USDC has been locked.

What if I send the KRW but the seller never releases USDC?

After confirming KRW payment on-chain, you have a 24-hour self-claim window. If the seller doesn't release within that period, you can claim the locked USDC directly from the escrow contract — no support ticket required.

Do I need to register or sign up?

No accounts, no email, no KYC at the platform level. Your MetaMask wallet is your identity. Connect, join a trade, and you're done.

Why is the marketplace empty right now?

Listings appear here only while a seller is actively waiting for a buyer. The moment a buyer joins a listing, it disappears from the marketplace — preventing two people from trying to claim the same USDC. If you don't see anything listed, it just means no seller is currently waiting.

Which network does Lumos use?

Polygon mainnet only. Make sure your MetaMask is on Polygon and you have a small amount of POL for gas (typically less than ₩100 per transaction).
